Are you a PlayStation fanatic? Then you’re sure to love the limited Anniversary Edition PS4 that Sony are releasing for the console’s 20th birthday.
It’s hard to believe it, but the PlayStation console first made it into Japanese gamer’s living rooms back on December 3, 1994. That’s 20-years ago this week in case you didn’t feel old enough already.
The original PlayStation didn’t get its release in Europe and in the US until the following September, but when it did, it quickly became the next must have gadget among tech fanatics.
So the guys at Sony have decided to give the PlayStation a birthday present to remember as the latest special edition of the console is going to get a familiar, old school make over.
The PlayStation 4 Anniversary Edition console will be painted in the first console’s “Original Grey” and only 12,300 units (12,300 = December, 3rd) will ship worldwide with prices starting at $499 in the US.
No word on how many, or if any, consoles will be sold in Ireland, so here’s to hoping we get our hands on one.
