Video: Sainbury’s Christmas advert features rival faction Tesco in this brilliant parody

Heart-warming and hilarious… What more do you want?

Oisin Collins

Sainbury’s latest Christmas advert has FINALLY received the Tesco parody that it has been crying out for…

Whether it’s the British vs. the Germans or Sainbury’s vs. Tesco, there’s nothing better than seeing two rival factions getting together for a truce and a friendly game of football, or foot-lettuce in this case.

The original Sainbury’s advert recalls the famous Christmas truce of 1914, where British and German soldiers called a truce and engaged in game of football on Christmas Day during World War I.

So the lads at Hot Gulp decided to parody the touching ad by substituting the German soldiers for Tesco workers, but they changed the ending ever so slightly and we have to say, we loved it.

Make sure to watch the original first, before watching the parody below. You’ll find the original Sainbury’s advert here.
