Video: Irish guys document their 12 Pubs Of Christmas through song and it is outstanding

They've a fine set of voices on them…

They have a fine set of voices on them…

The 12 pubs of Christmas are in full flow and, if you haven’t already checked it out, make sure you have a good and thorough read of our survival guide to make sure you make it all the way to number 12.

We know that if you’re not careful, things can get a little hazy/messy/dangerous/crazy during your 12 pubs travels, so what better way to ensure that everybody stays together than to document the entire night through song?

Darren O’Doherty and his pals sang the festive favourite ’12 Days of Christmas’ in the pubs, singing one line from the song in each pub.

It ensured that they remained in a group – y’know, for safety in numbers because the 12 pubs is one of the most extreme sports you will play all year. Just look at the bottom right of the video in Sam’s bar, the jacket belonging to a certain Andrew West has caught fire (he was fine though).

The source of the fire was a Christmas jumper malfunction apparently, with somebody else’s Christmas jumper’s electrics going haywire and igniting Andrew’s top. You really couldn’t make this up…

This crowd did their 12 pubs on Saturday night in Dublin starting in McCloskey’s and swerving towards the Leinster game in the Aviva Stadium (technically cheating by staying more than the half hour, but we speculate that they may have had more than one at the game) and inevitably finishing up in… that’s right, you guessed it, Coppers Face Jacks.

Our favourite Christmas moment of the year so far is Andrew West (again) at the end, sadly eating his pizza and singing, “and a partridge in a pear tree.”

His voice is gone, his dignity is more than likely with it, but he is still manages to munch a big dirty pizza at the end of a hard night.

Cheers to David Williams for all of the info.
