The Friday Flutter: RVP, Dublin and Ian Madigan

A cracking sporting weekend means we’re spoilt for choice as we search for those elusive three winners.

A cracking sporting weekend means we’re spoilt for choice as we search for those elusive three winners.

Another week, yet another close call. After landing our four goals bet in the Spurs/Man City game, and after Ronnie O’Sullivan obliged in the snooker, all we needed was Galway to beat Kilkenny. They failed. Spectacularly, and another Friday Flutter bit the dust.

With so much sport on this weekend we have no room to bet on the likes of UFC 159 or the Heineken Cup. Instead we have turned to the Premier League, the GAA and the Amlin Cup to boost our wages this week. This treble should net around 9/1 for you.

RVP to score against Arsenal, 11/10

This is a no brainer right? The muted celebration, the snarling crowd, the cut away to a disconsolate Arsene Wenger on the sidelines…

The Dutchman is back in red-hot form and we just can’t imagine he won’t find the net at his old stomping ground on Sunday.

Dublin to win the National League, 2/7

The odds are a little skimpy on this one for our liking but the Dubs look nigh-on unstoppable on Sunday. Tyrone are a good team, and may well be the team best placed to challenge the top four from last season (Cork, Dublin, Donegal, Mayo), but we think that on home turf Jim Gavin’s side will put on a show and win a first League title in 20 years.

Ian Madigan to score a try at anytime v Biarritz, 5/2

The new poster boy of Leinster rugby is slotted in at 12 for the Amlin Cup game with Biarritz this weekend and from there we think he is a great bet to score. With six tries to his name already, and freed from the No 10 slot, we can see him crossing the line, especially if Leinster win as big as we expect.
