These lads and their high-jinx.
The few days in school before the Christmas holidays were always the most giddy we experienced as young fellas.
We were like greyhound ready to bursts out of the traps, because there was freedom ahead for a few weeks, glorious freedom.
We always felt that things got a bit more relaxed during those few days in terms of our interest levels, the teachers’ work ethic, our discipline etc.
It seems not much has changed because these Cork boys were very much in holiday mode before the break.
One of the guys dressed up as a santa and went into a room full of 5th years doing exams to ask a very important question.
“Ho-ho-homec exam.” Ah, you can’t beat the classics.
