Can’t… contain… excitement…

It looks like Mulder and Scully could be returning to our TV screens as both David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson discuss a new series of The X-Files.

The sci-fi classic aired between 1993 and 2002, with Duchovny and Anderson playing FBI agents investigating paranormal and extra-terrestrial activity throughout the United States.

Duchovny went on to star in Californication while Anderson has recently appeared on our screens in The Fall opposite Jamie Dornan.

Fox chairman Gary Newman said: “It’s true that we’ve had some conversations on X-Files. We’re hopeful of being able to bring that back at some point.”

Please let this happen.
