The Aussies taking the p*ss out of the Lions just over a month before the first test? Sounds like a rallying call for Warren Gatland’s men but in reality, this is harmless and actually quite amusing stuff.
With only a few weeks to go until the Lions head Down Under to test their mettle against the best Australia has to offer, excitement is building nicely on this side of the world ahead of what should be a cracking series.
It’s obviously also the case on Australian soil and in an effort to generate a bit more hype about the Lions Tour, the Australian Rugby Union TV channel have released a humorous short documenting what it’s like to be a lion living amongst the Wallabies so far this year.
Like we said, it’s harmless enough stuff but there are some clever and amusing moments in there, from the reference to the MGM Lion at the very start of the clip to a number of Aussie players being caught unawares by the lion’s presence to Tatafu Polota-Nau’s badly out-of-tune efforts at ‘The Lion Sleeps Tonight’.
Not quite of the standard of ‘Living with the Lions’ but a decent effort by the Aussies nonetheless.
