Season 5 can’t come soon enough

JOE always wondered if the Game of Thrones staff come together and discuss who has the best location to film in.

Those pesky Lannisters seem to enjoying the sun in Croatia while poor Jon Snow is shivering on The Wall over in Iceland. He must have pulled the short straw.

It’s clear that the majority of those characters with story lines set in The North are the real winners though because they’re stationed in Ireland during the filming process.

Here are the Irish locations used in the show.

Game Of Thrones NI

Northern Ireland’s landscape is extremely prominent in Game of Thrones, we’re starting a petition to have Winterfell registered as an official town, and fans have recently been treated to a glimpse of some behind the scenes footage.

Take a look at what goes on during a day in the life of Game of Thrones with the Irish locations being quite prominent at the 11 minute and 18:30 marks.

After watching this we instantly want to start working on the show. We would make a brilliant Hand of The King, on second thoughts…
