Do you know your Irish legends?
We’ll name a few and give you a minute to see what you can remember from your primary school days…
– Fionn Mac Cumhaill and The Salmon of Knowledge (something to do with a fish and a thumb)
– The Children of Lir (Swans and an evil stepmother)
– The Legend of Cúchlainn (a fairly decent hurler)
– Oisín in Tir na nÓg (a truly terrible timekeeper)
So, can you remember much from those legendary tales of Irish bravery and badassery? If not, you’re not alone.
The guys from Facts. decided to ask a group of Irish people what they knew about the tales mentioned above and while some had a good grasp of what each tale was about, others had to resort to looking it up.
