Simpsons’ executive producer Al Jean confirms the Homer Coma Theory is FALSE

Remember the Simpsons fan theory that states Homer has been in a coma for 20-years?

The theory, which we featured last week, states that Homer never emerged from a coma that he lapsed into during the episode So It’s Come To This: A Simpsons Clip Show.

Basically, everything that has happened on the show from then up until now has been a figment of Homer’s imagination.

It’s a really interesting theory, but recently TMZ.com had a word with Simpsons’ executive producer Al Jean who confirmed that while the theory is a good one, it’s not true.

Speaking to TMZ.com, Al explained: “It would mean back in 1993 we would presume the show was going on for years and years more and right before we left, threw this hidden monkey wrench in for all our successors.”

He went on to say: “I’m afraid it goes with the ‘Dead Bart’ episode in the intriguing but false file.”
