John Lynch had a most spectacular spin during the Carlow Rally at the weekend but somehow he, and the car, escaped very lightly.

The driver came round the bend at speed and clipped a low stone wall and had at least four full rotations before ending up the right way around and heading on his way again.
Somehow that initial contact was the only one he had and was very fortunate to come out of the incident unscathed, with the mk2 Escort heading on its way again.
The clearly audible comments of “Oh holy fu**” and “fu**ing hell” were well merited.
