Earlier today, we brought you news of a Galway punter, Daniel Ferns, who could win over €45,000 from a €5 accumulator if the results of three games go his way tonight.
Even if that accumulator does come through, however, Daniel’s potential windfall has already been trumped by two Irish punters who won a whole lot more as a result of their own accumulators last night.
An as yet unidentified Dublin punter claimed just over €89,000 (€89,001.65 to be precise) from Boylesports after his €10 15-fold football accumulator came in.
Better yet, a Galway punter who waged just a single euro on a 17-fold football accumulator that included games from the Champions League, Championship and League One hit Paddy Power for €206,202.19 in what the bookmaker described as “one of the most impressive bets of the season”.
