This was the first goal Atletico had conceded in six Champions League games.
And what a goal it was.
Calhanoglu’s cracking shot put Leverkusen on their way to a fantastic 1-0 win against Atletico Madrid.
In doing so, he became the first player to score in the Champions League against Atletico goalkeeper Miguel Moya.
Calhanoglu and his Leverkusen team mates certainly deserved their win; they made almost twice as many passes as Atletico and constantly looked dangerous.
It will be interesting to see whether Calhanoglu and his side can hold onto their lead when they visit the Spanish capital for the return leg.
We certainly hope he produces more moments of magic like the one above.
