Man Utd fans might just agree
Dejan Lovren endeared himself to the Anfield faithful yet again last night as his decisive penalty miss proved to be the difference between Liverpool and Besiktas.
Like all matches involving their bitter rivals, Man Utd fans revelled in seeing Rodgers’ men suffer ‘relative’ heartbreak in Europe although we wager that most Pool fans were much more disappointed by crashing out of the Champions League rather than the Europa.
Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville was a voice of reason in the midst of all the Twitter slagging because the Reds’ league form has been extremely impressive in the last few weeks.
We have a feeling that most rational Man Utd fans will agree with this view.
I understand the rivalry somewhat but surprised United fans want Liverpool out of EL! Thursday / Sun! I'd have wanted them in!
