It’s all over a Strictly Come Dancing competition.
Ballyboden St. Enda’s Junior B footballers were up in arms last night after the club conceded their match against St. Peregrines, which had been due to take place on Friday evening.
The reason? Well, according to the Junior B Facebook page, not enough players on the Junior B team had bought tickets to a club Strictly Come Dancing competition.
In an expletive-ridden rant, Martin O’Donnell wrote:
Later, when a match between the club’s senior side and Ballinteer was confirmed for Friday night, things kicked off again.
JOE contacted Ger Flaherty, the Ballyboden chairperson, on Friday morning by telephone but he declined to make any comment on the reasons behind the club’s decision to concede the result of the Junior B clash against St. Peregrines.
