We’ll stick to a Double Decker Easter Egg, thanks very much.
Easter Sunday is only a couple of weeks away and if you were good enough to go off chocolate for Lent, you’ll deserve to indulge yourself a little after six weeks of having your willpower tested.
Ah, who are we to judge? Even if you’ve been stuffing your face with Creme Eggs for the last month, feel free to continue to do so when Easter Sunday rolls around.
There’s indulgence, however and there’s the most expensive bit of chocolate we think we’ve ever set eyes upon: a 5kg chocolate Easter Bunny that stands 38cm tall, has eyes made out of diamonds and contains over half a million calories.
Obviously you’re not going to find a product like this down at your local Tesco.
The bunny, which was made by award-winning Chocolatier & International Pastry Consultant (such a job exists?) and former Chef Décor of Harrods, Martin Chiffers, is available on veryfirstto.com, a website where users can purchase luxury products and experiences.
And it only costs €46,400, which we reckon would get us somewhere in the region of 10,000 normal Easter eggs.
We should point out that the cost does include a donation of £1,000 to the Prince’s Trust charity and the diamond eyes can be replaced with smaller stones for a lower price if requested.
Tempted though we are, we just might have to give this one a miss.
