The 10 least attractive phrases to use in an online dating profile have been revealed

Smooth as sandpaper

Smooth as sandpaper.

Writing an online dating profile can be tough work which is why we recommend sticking to these golden rules.

1) Tell people that you’re great craic and easy going. Oh yeah, no good grammar and bad speelling spelling are also to be avoided.

2) Try to get some of your charming personality across. Then again, if your interests include collecting stamps, wearing capes or melting things then it’s probably best to leave these hobbies out.

3) If all else fails then just lie, lie and lie some more.

Dating website OnMutualTerms.com were curious about the things that people say in their profiles that ruin their chances of finding a match online.

They analyzed the least popular profiles on their website before cross-referencing this info with what these profiles had in common.

We’re shocked to learn that ‘I’m just looking for the ride’, ‘can you cook like my mam’ and ‘the doctor gave me the all-clear’ weren’t included on this list.

Still though, some of these are absolutely god awful.

“Over the bar scene.”
“Too busy to meet someone.”
“I can’t believe I’m online dating.”
“Looking for The One.”
“Tired of games.”
“Moonlit walks on the beach.”
“I live life to the fullest.”
“Want to be swept off my feet.”
“I work hard and play hard.”
“I want the total package.”
