Where else would you see the terms ‘Lego Head’ and ‘fu**ing c**t’ on the same page?
Refereeing football at the highest level is a tough job because of all the pressure that comes with it, but at least there’s a bit of glamour involved in sharing a pitch with some of the best footballers in the world on a regular basis.
The pressure is off for referees in the Sunday League, but there’s no glamour either, something that was illustrated in what must be the most entertaining referee’s report we’ve ever read from a game that took place across the pond earlier this month.
The referee in question spared no detail when reporting his decision to send off a player who goes only by the name of ‘Lego Head’ in a clash between FC Norton First and Batheaston First the weekend before last.
A brief synopsis of the report wouldn’t do it justice and we highly recommend that you read it in full below; what we will say is that there was certainly no love lost between the referee and ‘Lego Head’ by the end.
Come to think of it, ‘Lego Head’ doesn’t seem to command much respect from his team-mates either.
Classic.
