This is so Steve Finnan.
The tenth anniversary of Liverpool’s Champions League win over AC Milan is Monday and to mark the event there’s going to be a reunion night in Liverpool.
The organisers wanted to get the whole team back together for one night but the only player they couldn’t track down was Irish international Steve Finnan.
That led to an appeal for information on the former Reds defender and the hashtag #FindSteveFinnan was started on Twitter.
Id say Finnan is on a beach in sunny mexico living the life after so many reliable performances for Liverpool and Ireland #findstevefinnan

The mystery was solved on Newstalk’s Off The Ball show last night after The Irish Independent‘s Dan McDonnell made a few enquiries.
Dan said, “Steve Finnan’s in London, enjoying life out of the limelight and not seeking any form of post-football fame or media work or anything like that. I believe he’s pretty contented and happy about that.”
He was such an understated player in his time so we’re not one bit surprised by the revelation. What a great man.
