We’re not too old to be really excited about this, right?
Sporting trading cards might be considered a throwback to another era, but the GAA and the GPA are about to inspire a glorious comeback with a fantastic new product that hits newsagents throughout Ireland this week.
Cúl Heroes, the official trading cards for the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) and GPA (Gaelic Players Association), go on sale throughout the country this week and are a new and unique way of allowing younger (and older) GAA fans to familiarise themselves with the biggest names in the GAA.
A packet of six cards costs €1.50 and over two million cards have been printed.
4,000 cards of every player – 468 in total – have been produced and collectors will be able to store all of their players in special collection books.
Every card contains a player, county, club skill and positive message and there are 36 hurling skills and 39 football skills among the collection.
As the stickers are available in newsagents throughout the country you can start collecting right now and for more information, click here.
