The best restaurants in Ireland have been revealed

The winners of the 2015 Irish Restaurant Awards have been announced.

Speaking to The Irish Times, Restaurant Association of Ireland president Anthony Gray said they had received around 30,000 nominations in the different categories available for entry.

Gray commented, “this year’s awards have been the biggest, brightest and the best. The Irish restaurant scene is vital to the economy, employing 72,000 people and generating revenue in excess of €2 billion per year. It’s great to celebrate the work that all of our restaurateurs around the country do to keep this aspect of our culture alive and kicking.”

Well, we do love our food.

Everyone we know seems to eat it all the time, so it certainly looks like this ‘food fad’ isn’t going away any day soon.

There are some tasty eateries on the list below but, to be fair, you still can’t beat your local chippy.
