The latest iPhone update will interest people who never answer calls from unknown numbers

Very interesting

Calls from unknown numbers might soon become a thing of the past.

We can’t specify the exact reasons they do it, but we think we can safely say that there is a sizeable percentage of people who won’t answer their phone if they don’t recognise the number?

It could be because they don’t want to talk to strangers, which is probably fair enough.

We think it’s more likely, certainly in Ireland, that they’re afraid that they might know the person ringing them and will have to explain why they hadn’t their number saved in the first place.

Awkward.

In any case, receiving a call from an unknown number may soon be a thing of the past for iPhone users.

The new iOS9 operating system will reportedly come equipped with a number of upgrades, including immediately bringing up the ‘Now Playing’ screen when you insert your headphones and suggesting times that you should leave to ensure you’re not late for an event.

Probably the most interesting new feature, however, is that when a call comes in from an unknown number, a suggestion as to who it might be will flash up on screen beside it.

The iPhone’s operating system will scan through your mail in an effort to discover who the caller might be, without compromising any of your personal information or giving it over to third parties.

You still don’t have to answer it, mind.
