Despite the decent weather of the last few days, it’s around this time of year that a lot of us start to think about spending some time away in sunnier climes.
If money is of no object, then a glance at TripAdvisor’s best hotels in the world for 2015 might be of interest; they might be expensive and most of them might be far away from here but that doesn’t decrease our desire to stay in them in any way at all.
Top of the pile is the Gili Lankanfushi hotel in the Maldives, which costs well over €1,000 to spend a night in but when you see it for yourself you can begin to understand why.

Only two European hotels make the top ten – a Four Seasons in Budapest and the Hotel Alpin Spa in Austria – while if you want to torture yourself by looking at even more hotels that most normal people can’t afford to stay in, you can check out the top 25 hotels here.
