A Dublin GAA supporters group are attempting to organise a special tribute to the victims of the Berkeley tragedy and to the two men who died in a sewer accident in Portmarnock earlier this month during the Leinster Champions’ clash with Kildare at Croke Park this Sunday.

The supporters group, Hill 16 Army, have been spreading the word on social media about a planned one minute round of applause in the 16th minute of the Leinster semi-final between Dublin and Kildare.

Alan and Stephen Harris, both cousins of Irish football captain Robbie Keane, perished as a result of a sewer accident in Portmarnock earlier this month.

Six Irish students – Niccolai Schuster, Eoghan Culligan, Ashley Donohoe, Olivia Burke, Lorcan Miller and Eimear Walsh – all lost their lives after the collapse of a balcony in an apartment block in Berkeley last Tuesday.

For more information on the planned tribute, you can check out Hill 16 Army on Facebook and Twitter.
