Just in time for holidays.
We happen to think that some people over-dramatise the effects of jet lag from time to time (you’re tired, we get it) but at the same time, there’s no doubting that it is a real thing and can flatten you for a couple of days.
Most travelers almost take it a given that they’re going to experience it, especially after a long flight, but have you ever taken the time to try and understand why it might be an issue and how you might go about preventing it?
In the latest of a series of handy science videos from the Royal Institution, Kate Mulcahy breaks down how exactly jet lag comes about and a few simple tips to prevent it that are easy to implement as long as you’re willing to prepare in the days before your flight.
Unless you’re an astronaut, of course; then you’re really screwed.
