Send a raven.
I’d imagine that a reunion on the set of Game of Thrones is just like the first day of school, except it has much more murder, violence and betrayal. Just like my school then.
Season 6 is currently filming in Belfast and while we’ve speculated about new locations and ‘that’ character returning (we know nothing) the producers have been busy adding some impressive new names to the cast.
You may recall that the warg-tastic Bran Stark will be putting his powers to use this season but the last time that we saw Hodor’s best friend, he was hanging out with the Children of the Forest and learning from the three-eyed raven, represented by an old man in the show.
The power of Christ and the Seven Kingdoms has compelled Max Von Sydow to take the position of Bran’s mentor, a role that was previously played by Struan Rodger.
According to Variety, the Minority Report actor will have a major role in the upcoming season in what’s going to be a busy year for the legendary star, he’s set to star in a little film called the Star Wars: The Force Awakens also.
Mmm, I wonder what fire breathing animal would Bran be able to control if he perfected his power?
Another piece of news that your raven might not have delivered over the weekend was the addition of Deadwood star Ian McShane to the cast.
I’ve no idea who he’s playing but that man just scream Night’s Watch. We like Ian McShane, he’s in Hot Rod also. Cool beans.
