The way you watch Netflix could change with this cool new simulcast plug-in

Something for couples

Something for couples.

Much like anyone with a TV, broadband and good taste in TV/movies, we’re huge fans of the behemoth online streaming service Netflix because it has changed the way that people watch TV.

We all watch Netflix in our own unique way but a new feature has the potential to change your viewing habits, especially if you enjoy the shared experience of watching your favourite shows with your partner or friends.

A new Google Chrome extension called Showgoers will allow you to sync up your stream with someone else’s so you can watch TV together.

Finally, a solution to the eternal problem that arises when your partner is away for a few days and strictly prohibited you from watching the next few episodes of your latest addiction without them.

The plug-in isn’t affiliated with Netflix in any way but I’ve a feeling that a lot of people will be curious to know how it works. Here’s the lowdown:

Go to the Showgoers website where the “Install Showgoers” will direct you to the Google Chrome store. Once downloaded, you’ll notice a pair of 3-d glasses on the top right hand screen.

Once you click on these glasses, this message will appear.

Netflix Link Sync

You can now send this new url link to anyone that also has the Showgoers app installed.
