Planes aren’t quite as clean and pristine as we would like to think, according to new research which shows the filthiest place on the plane is the arm rest.
According to the study, which was conducted by a US University, bacteria can survive for up to four days on the arm rest when people come back from the toilet without washing their hands and wipe the filth on the arm rest.
As well as this, a number of flight attendants have said that baby poo is a likely contaminant on the tray in front of your seat as people often leave dirty nappies there when they are changing their baby.
Next time you take a plane trip don’t forget the sanitizer and keep yourself clean and healthy.
