The clearest footage yet.

In a match that wasn’t short of talking points, Dublin’s Diarmuid Connolly being sent-off for his clash with Mayo’s Lee Keegan was one of the most discussed in their recent All-Ireland semi-final meeting.

The incident was not captured in its entirety on television, but this fan footage shows that the half-back Keegan clearly throws a slap at Connolly, prompting the Dublin forward to shove him.

Afterwards, Connolly gets his arms around his opponent and takes him to ground, restraining him and throwing a couple of digs before he’s pulled off by another Mayo player.

Dublin will most likely have to attempt to have their player cleared once a one-match ban is recommended by the CCCC. If the red card stands, Connolly will miss next weekend’s replay.
