What a game.
If last week’s encounter was remembered for all the wrong reasons, then today’s game was remembered for all the right ones as Dublin edged a titanic tussle with Mayo at Croke Park.
Played at a relentless pace throughout, Mayo were the first team to edge towards home in the second half with a Cillian O’Connor goal only for Dublin to take control with two goals in quick succession before Kevin McManamon put the icing on the cake late on as the Dubs finished seven-point winners.
