The changes keep on coming from Apple

Apple has announced details of its new iPhone 6S and 6S Plus.

The new phone will come with a new pressure sensitive display, called 3D Touch, which allows users ‘to press down on the iPhone’s screen to pull up new menus, activate shortcuts, and generally interact with the device in new ways,’ according to TheVerge.com.

The iPhone 6S maintains the same design and size as the iPhone 6 but is now being offered in rose gold (as opposed to pink, which had been speculated coming up to the launch.

Perhaps the most exciting feature of 3D Touch is the ability to ‘peek’ and ‘pop’.

‘Peek’ allows you to press down on certain icons to bring up shortcuts. For instance, but holding down the Facebook icon you’ll be offered a shortcut to update your status, take a photo or check in. Holding down the Camera icon will allow you to jump straight into taking a selfie.

‘Pop’ lets you pull up overlays of photos and videos without actually having them take over the screen.

The iPhone 6S will be released on September 25th. Read more here.
