He’ll be living off this for months.
As long as Irish people have been living abroad, their parents and family members have been sending them packages with some of their most beloved items from home.
Boxes of Barry’s or Lyons Tea, bottles of club orange, tubs of McDonnell’s curry sauce and packets of purple snack bars have been crossing oceans on their way to Irish emigrants for generations and JOE reader Martin Ryan has just been landed with the mother lode.
Martin has been living in America for the last five years and his parents paid him a visit for the first time recently.
Take one look at the bounty that they brought with them for Martin and don’t pretend for one second that you’re not jealous.

Cheers to Martin Ryan for sending this our way. If you have something you would like to share with us, send it to editorial@JOE.ie or find us on Facebook or Twitter.
