Paddy Barnes’ reaction says it all.
Boxer Michael O’Reilly has missed out on a place at the Rio Olympics in the most controversial of circumstances.
Those who watched the third-placed box-off at the World Boxing Championships in Doha agreed that O’Reilly had swung the bout against Hosam Abdin, but the judges awarded the opening two rounds of the middleweight clash to the Egyptian, leaving O’Reilly stunned when the referee raised the arm of his opponent.
