The stars of Peep Show are working together on a new comedy for Channel 4

Great news

Peep Show stars David Mitchell and Robert Webb are collaborating on a new comedy for Channel 4, according to reports.

According to Radio Times, Mitchell and Webb are working with Peep Show script writer Simon Blackwell on a new show called Back, details of which appear to be very thin on the ground at the moment.

The Radio Times report that details are “sketchy to the point of non-existence” but quote one source who confirmed that “C4 is pleased with the idea”.

“We can’t say too much,” said the source.

“It’s very much a work in progress and there are quite a few possible ways the story could go but we have high hopes for it.”

While it remains to be seen when the new show will hit the small screen, Peep Show fans have the small matter of the ninth and final series of the show to look forward to over the next few months.

If the new show goes anywhere close to matching the portrayal of the lives of Mark, Jez, Super Hans and company, then we’re in for a treat.
