So, so close to a major shock.
With Ireland getting comprehensively beaten in their quarter-final against Argentina earlier on Sunday, there wasn’t much expected from Scotland’s clash with Australia.
Most people assumed that it would be an easy Aussie win, but Scotland very nearly caused an upset.
Australia won 35-34 only thanks to a last minute penalty, denying Scotland a famous victory.
Twitter went batsh*t crazy when it looked like one of the all-time great upsets was going to occur.
