Sergio Aguero reveals he will not extend his Manchester City contract

He wants to go home

Sergio Aguero says he will not sign an extension to his contract in England and wants to return to play for Independiente before he gets too old.

The Manchester City striker’s current deal runs out in 2019 but he says he won’t extend it.

Instead, the 27-year-old wants to return to the ‘club of my heart.’

“I have always said that I want to return to Independiente and I will do just that. I will return to Independiente when my contract with City expires,” he told So Foot.

“I do not want to make my comeback when I am too old. If everything goes well, I will return to the club of my heart at the age of 31.”

Despite struggling with injury for much of the season, Aguero is City’s top scorer this season with nine goals. He is generally considered to be the best striker in the Premier League, and one of the best in the world.
