Who says romance is dead?
Every Christmas, there is a plethora of people getting engaged and our social media feeds are packed with people showing off engagement rings.
Of course, not every ring is an engagement ring, but if you do give a ring as a present to your other half, it’s probably best to ensure that there is no confusion whatsoever.
One of our readers, Shona Byrne, sent us this picture of the ring she received as a present from her boyfriend Seanie Brennan which was accompanied by a note.
We are particularly impressed that the word ‘middle’ has been underlined twice.
Shona, in her defence, took it very well and even joked ‘I should’ve pretended that I got no note to wind him up good..’
Now, THAT would’ve been cruel.
