Not for the squeamish.
It’s been a mixed few weeks for Geoff Parling after the Exeter Chiefs lock missed out on England’s squad for the Six Nations but this blow was softened by Exeter’s dramatic qualification to the quarter-finals of the European Champions Cup.
The club reached the last 8 for the first time in their history after a comprehensive 33-17 win over the Ospreys at Sandy Park on Sunday but the win came at a cost to the British and Irish Lion.
The lock was replaced in the 32nd minute after a nasty clash of heads with team-mate Jack Yeandle and here’s what the damage looked like.
