So that’s why those guys hate winter so much…
Fans of the fantasy series Game of Thrones will be familiar with the show’s Dark Hedges location in Co. Antrim.
The spooky and picturesque scene was ravaged by today’s Storm Gertrude, with the haunting, leaning trees uprooted by the forces of nature. Way to go nature, ya jerk.

Northern Ireland, where much of the show is filmed, is a very popular destination for fans of the series – so it’s pretty probably that the local council will look to replace the trees soon. The originals were planted back in the 18th century.
And they only had two days until retirement, what a shame.
