To be fair, it’s been a sombre today for sport in general following the Paul O’Connell news, and that seems to have spread to the new Premier League logo.

The fresh badge will come into play at the start of next season, with the Premier League attempting to make the logo more personable and less corporate by erasing ‘Barclays’ from the title and sometimes even referring to the brand as, simply, the ‘PL’.

Needless to say, the people of Twitter have been having their say on the big change, with some of the comments pretty funny.
