There are certain lines that politicians simply shouldn’t cross.
And one of those lines is sending us Valentine’s Day cards. Councillor John Brady has overstepped that line by putting what might be the cheesiest election leaflets through his constituent’s letter-boxes.
Imagine thinking you’ve gotten a Valentine’s Day greeting from your secret admirer…
Only to discover that you don’t have a secret admirer, and it’s actually someone trying to win your vote.
In case the font is a bit hard to decipher, that love poem is:
“Labour are red
Fine Gael are blue
Fianna Fail show their colours true
But trust John Brady to work for you”
Romantic, eh?
