This is incredibly lifelike.
Conor McGregor lends himself quite well to being photographed, drawn or painted – but this portrait by Niall O’Loughlin might just be the most awesome encapsulation of The Notorious that we’ve ever seen.

Not only that, but the artist has shown us in nine handy slides, the anatomy of the painting – starting off with a loose sketch before evolving into the real deal.

The man responsible for this glorious painting, Niall O’Loughlin of Caricatures by Niall O’Loughlin, spoke to JOE.ie earlier on and told us that the painting took him the best parts of four months to complete, as he worked on it for three or four hours at a time.
“Lots of people can do very lifelike renditions of people using the computer, but when painted by hand there’s no cheating.”
Speaking of his subject, O’Loughlin said “He’s got so much personality, he just suits what I do. The tattoo was a nightmare though, you can quote me on this. There’s so much detail in it, and you’ve got to work it over his chest and everybody knows it.”
We think O’Loughlin did a fantastic job with every element of the painting. Keep an eye on our Facebook page in order to be in with a chance of winning a print of this portrait.
