Here’s exactly how Zac Efron got so ripped ahead of the new Baywatch movie

If you’re next to The Rock then you better look good.

While I’m fairly certain that the new Baywatch film isn’t going to be winning any Oscars, there are still a few things that Seth Gordon’s feature needs to get right. For example; cheesy sequences of the cast running up and down the beach in super slow-mo, a ridiculous plot and cheesy cameos from The Hoff or Pamela Anderson are all essential but there’s another key ingredient, beach bods.

Zac Efron is starring in the new film alongside Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and while most men would rather bury themselves in the sand than compare their physique to The Rock’s, Efron has taken to the gym and managed to get himself more ripped than the paper in your office shredder.

Take a look.

Honestly I have a hard time with paparazzi but s/o to this dude ?

It seems that American Ninja Warrior training is the actors best friend but what exactly does this involve?

The workout routine basically involves a series of obstacle courses that involve sprints, quad steps (when you’re running across logs or bounding across suspended giant balls), plyometrics, rings, salmon ladder, devil steps, the pipe slider and lots more.

Here’s a brief look at what this workout involves and we’re instantly reminded of Gladiators.

Judging from his photos Efron has been hitting the functional fitness hard – with pull-ups, tyre flips and assault course-style training.

But as well as the new school training, it looks like he’s been smashing it old school as well with a traditional split like The Rock. Here he is doing back and biceps.

When it came to his diet, it seems that Efron adhered to the zero carbs and sugar approach as seen by this tweet about his dietary regime.

Although it’s good to know he’s still smashing a cheat meal to fire up that metabolism and replenish those glycogen stores once in a while. I’m sure that there was no personal trainers or financial incentives involved in his transformation but there’s no denying that he’s in fantastic shape.
