Irish Harry Potter actor spent all of his money in a way that would make George Best proud

Carl Kinsella

“I spent a lot of money on booze, birds and fast cars. The rest I just squandered.”

A quote made famous by Manchester United legend George Best, but also applicable to Harry Potter actor Devon Murray, a court heard today.

The 27 year old actor, from Kildare, is being sued by his former agent Neil Brooks for €286,000 in what he claims are unpaid fees.

Upon being asked if her son had a steady income stream from his roles in the movies, Murray’s mother said that Murray had “gone out drinking, taken out girls and bought cars because that is what teenage boys do.”

The family has filed a countersuit against Brooks for €98,000 they claim they paid to the South African agent.
