Those of us who signed up to Netflix in the early days have been able to enjoy the streaming service for its original €7.99 /month price, some of us for a number of years.
If you happen to be a longtime Netflix customer , you’ll soon be facing a choice. Pay €2 extra at the end of this month and continue to stream shows in high-definition – the extra €2 will also allow you to view on two screens – or continue to pay €7.99 and view shows in standard definition.
According to The Irish Times, users who initially signed up to the standard service are facing these two options.
The changes, initially announced in 2014, will come into force in May with users being informed shortly via email.
