Here we go…
Real Madrid, Man City, Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich claimed the four coveted spots in the penultimate round of this year’s Champions League.
Man City, the last remaining Premier League team in the competition, will face off against Real Madrid in their semi-final, something which will surely have Noel Gallagher’s head in his hands.
This means Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid, who sensationally knocked out Barcelona mid-week, will play against Bayern Munich – who were less than convincing against Benfica in their own quarter final.
The home and away teams for the final were also decided in the draw. The winner of City vs Real Madrid will be the so-called ‘Home’ team at the final in the San Siro, with the winner of Bayern Munich and Atletico the ‘Away’ team.
Could it be a case of Pep Guardiola facing his own future in the form of Man City in the final?
