JOE

G-G-G-GALWAY!

The bohemian capital of Ireland, where locals pronounce ‘s’ with the sound of a ‘shhh’.

Shure it’s almost as if they’re saying: “Will you be quiet, before the resht of the country finds out how amazing the city is.”

We’re sorry, but it’s time for us to break the news. With thanks to Corona, here are seven reasons why Galway is the best city in Ireland.

A cultural hotspot

Barely a week goes by without some sort of event happening in Galway; the Arts Festival, the Film Fleadh and the Theatre Festival are just some of the great events happening in the city.

Foodies are in for a treat

Galway’s oysters are famous throughout the world, but there’s so much more to the West’s cuisine than just seafood.

Take a stroll through the Latin Quarter and you’re sure to find something to suit even the most eclectic of tastes.

The city’s market is unique and fascinating.

From hand-knitted scarves to stone fireplaces; you just don’t know what you’ll find in the Galway Market and that’s why we love it.

Music is everywhere

It’s impossible to walk through Galway without hearing traditional and contemporary music flood out from its pubs and clubs.

It’s not just the pubs and clubs that boast an amazing music scene; great busking is synonymous with Galway city.

A great place to party

It’s not one of Ireland’s top stag and hen destinations for nothing.

If you want a night out that you’ll not forget in a hurry, then there’s nowhere better.

We’re going to be in the city with the Corona Sunset Sessions on May 26. It will be a night full of great music, tasty food and epic music. You can grab your tickets for it here.

It’s going to be an evening you won’t forget.
