PIC: A prank involving two Irish sisters, an Apple Mac and a very cruel note

Tony Cuddihy

We’re sure they love each other, really.

Siblings are great, they really are.

When they’re not squabbling over the remote control, stealing food from your plate or threatening to tell on you for drinking from your dad’s secret stash of Jameson, they’re sending care packages from London that are not all that they seem.

JOE reader Amy Walsh takes up the story…

“Yesterday I got a couple of frantic texts from my parents; “an Apple package just arrived for you!” and “how can can you afford an Apple Mac?!”

“So, confused as hell, I rang my mam to assure her that I cannot afford an “Apple Mac” and ask her what she was on about.

“After much squealing from the other side of the phone, she found a letter on the box which stated I had won a laptop from NUIG. I smelt bullshit straight away. My mother did not. I told her to open it. Her excitement was quickly lost when she found the following note inside.

“Thanks Katie for the box and the note.”

Amy tells us that her sister Katie had paid £15 to send the package from London.

Money well spent, that’s some great treachery.
