People were suitably impressed…
As usual the Late Late Show took centre stage on Irish television last night and love it or hate it, there were undeniably some good moments mixed in with some not-so-good ones.
One of the brighter moments was the beautiful opening to show provided by country music star Nathan Carter, whom our own Carl Kinsella had the pleasure of meeting recently.
Carter, a native from Merseyside, performed a song called ‘Liverpool’ to pay tribute to the 96 victims who lost their lives in the Hillsborough disaster.

The performance and subsequent talk with Ryan Tubridy meant that Nathan Carter began trending in Ireland, here’s a little snapshot of what people were saying.
There was those who enjoyed it immensely…

There were those who weren’t so keen…
Nathan Carter is an affront to music. Country and Irish as a musical category is probably our nation's greatest modern shame.
