We have just one small issue with it.
According the map, the sport that Ireland is best at is rugby league – and there’s some truth to that. Ireland are ranked 6 in the RLIF World Rankings, so we’re definitely very good at rugby…
It’s worth nothing, however, that there are no national rankings for the sports that fall under the GAA umbrella. We think it’s worth noting that if such a ranking did exist then there’d be no doubt that Ireland would be top which, by PetevonPete’s metric, would make either hurling or gaelic football the sport that we’re best at.
Since there is no such ranking, though, we’re ready to accept the finding that as far as rank-able team sports go, we’re probably better at rugby than we are at football, or ice hockey, or cricket.
